The Story

Victoria VanDerSnoot was used to the finer things in life. Her Father was a rich man and when her Mother died he spoiled his daughter in an attempt to ease her pain. One day Victoria's Father was taken in by the police, he assured her it was a misunderstanding but in reality she discovered his riches belonged to others and rather than the successful business man she'd believed him to be he was notorious criminal.

Once her father was in prison she couldn't stay in town with the cruel gossip about him so she would move somewhere new, start fresh. She had no money but as a child she'd been left a plot of land in a nearby town, Sunset Valley. She packed up what few possessions she had and hopped on a bus, never looking back. She arrived to find the remnant of a building job that had never begun so she was lucky to have the basic facilities but sleeping under the stars was a stark contrast to her life as she's known it.

She knew she would have to find a job, though she was trained for nothing so she would first find a man. Xander Clavell caught her eye immediately as she pulled in to town but she couldn't invite him back to her place as it was so she invited him out on a date. It was all going well, they even ended the evening with a kiss but he didn't seem keen to arrange another meeting any time soon. Victoria called Xander the next day but he was busy, the day after he didn't answer. Maybe she'd come on too strong?

She decided to go out and find a job to take her mind off her romantic woes, She was lucky to find an opening in the mail room in an office down tow, she could start immediately, that would certainly be a distraction not to mention help her save for a more substantial abode.  A couple of weeks in to her new job she met with the local mayor who offered to hire her as his assistant. It was more money and a more prestigious position and she wasted no time in accepting. That evening Xavier called and asked her over to his place, he had something to tell her.

She was nervous on the ride over, was he seeing someone else? He sounded serious on the phone. She was standing outside composing herself when he opened the door and beckoned her inside. He explained that he was leaving town, his parents were moving and he couldn't afford to stay there alone so he was going with them. He told her he's never met anyone like her and he wished that it could be different but it couldn't. It had all moved so fast and baring in mind Victoria was looking for someone to take care of her, learning that Xavier couldn't even support himself was quite a revelation and made what she did next all the more surprising.

She got down on one knee and proposed. She took off her own heirloom diamond ring as a guesture and that evening they agreed to be husband and wife. He moved in with her the next day. That's when things begun to unravel. It turned out that the likenesses to her father that had drawn her to him in the first place were more than she thought. Xander was also a criminal. Once Victoria knew this she put all of her efforts in to setting him back on the straight and narrow. That started with joining Sunset Valley Police Force, to the dismay of his crooked friends and family.

Given that he had now severed ties with everyone but his beau and Victoria had few relatives or friends to speak of they married in a small, intimate ceremony on the beach. It was very romantic planning their lives together and so when Victoria found out she was expecting a child it was somewhat of a shock to the newlyweds. Xander started putting in more hours at work in a bid to improve their house before their family grew and Victoria made plans to give up work and take up as a childminder so she could stay home with the baby.

By the time their daughter Savannah arrived everything was going perfectly. They had a humble home but it had everything they needed, their new family was complete and since Xander got his promotion they were saving for the honeymoon in Paris they couldn't afford after their wedding.

But life got in the way..

Savannah was almost grown in the blink of an eye and Xander could feel time slipping way from them.

Before they knew it they'd grown old without doing any of the thing they had planned. Working hard to build a life and a family had taken up their lives, they decided to take the opportunity to travel while they still had it.

They finall took that trip to paris. They walked along the Seine hand in hand, their life felt complete.
If only they'd been able to locate the Eiffel Tower.

Soon enough Savannah was 18 and off to college, about to start her own life.

While she was away her mother died. Victoria left a broken man behind in Xander and he didn't last long once she was gone. People speak of loved ones dying of a broken heart and in this case it might just have been true.

He did live to see his daughter graduate, however, and move back to town where she would begin her own family in the home he and her mother had spent their lives building for her.

Savannah had always been creative, a born painter, she'd supported herself through college selling her artwork at local fairs.

She'd studied journalism and when she returned to Sunset Valley she got a job a the local paper.
That's where she met Randall.

They weren't dating long before she started to have doubts. She knew he'd been seeing someone else when they met and she wasn't sure he was totally over her. The one time she brought up his ex he flew off the handle and their date ended abruptly.

Fortunately Savannah knew the best place to settle an argument was in the bedroom.
She only wished he'd change out of his uniform occasionally.

After that blip things seemed to improve, there was even talk of Randall moving in but it was never 'a good time' for him.

They'd been together for a while now and Savannah was gettimg impatient. She's spent a lot of her time focusing on her career and education, if she was ever going to settle down and have a family it would have to be soon.

She wasn't sure how serious Randall was about their future so she decided to take matters in to her own hands. She was going to have a baby. His baby!

She was prepared to raise a baby alone but shockingly when Randall discovered she was pregnant, he proposed. Rather than feel betrayed he was thrilled to be becoming a father.

When the baby arrived the couple were over the moon. Randall was happy with just one child but it wasn't long before Savannah longed for another. She'd always wanted a sibling and now more than ever she felt the void with both of her parents gone and no other family to speak of.

Luckily they conceived quickly, neither of them were getting any younger after all.

Because they were so close in age Vinny and Vienna grew up doing everything together. They even planned to run their own gardening business once they were done with school.

They were rarely apart and needed little attention from their parents as a result.

That tight relationship was what supported them when they both died.
They'd been older parents so it was to be expected but their deaths were so close, it was a tough time.

Thankfully Savannah at least finished her final painting before she was called upon..
They would be worth something one day!

The siblings coped with the familial deaths in eerily similar ways.. pursuing older sims in an attempt to fill that parental void.

Vienna found friendship in neighbour, Malcolm Landgraab whereas Vinny found something a little more serious in Tammi. She was a girl he'd known from School, a few years above him and she'd just come back from college to find Vinny all grown up.

What should have been a temporary comfort for him became a life changing decision when Tammi announced she was pregnant.

On his 18th birthday Vinny proposed, they were married and soon began plans to take care of their baby. He had a nice house and was about to start work at the Science Plant, he could see how they could make it work, especially as Vienna had offered to help in any way she could.

When the baby was born they named him Chuck, after Tammi's Grandfather.

Although money was a little tight she wanted to take some time off to spend with him so she didn't go back to work for a while. Chuck really benefited from the time he had with her, they were creating a bond that would last a lifetime.

Meanwhile Vienna had continued to meet with Malcolm. As she'd grown older there was an attraction between them, though she wasn't sure she wanted anything more than friendship, his large house and seemingly unending cash supply did sweeten the deal.

To do her part for the family funds Tammi began a wine-making business from home

Vinny would creep out to work early so as not to wake anyone. He worked long hours but would tell nobody what went on there. Tammi was concerned ubt so long as the bills were paid she was happy.

What she wasn't happy about, however, was there tyrannical son. He was wreaking havoc at home and school, even in his dreams were toxic.

She knew she should discuss it with her husband but she also knew what he would say and besides, he was never around. Tammi enrolled Chuck in boarding school hoping his attitude would improve with a little discipline.

Vienna was spending more and more time out of the house and although she wouldn't admit it everyone knew where she was. What she saw in him besides simoleans they had no idea. They were getting on famously and with his father, Geoffrey nearing his end there was talk of the pair moving in together. Things were still casual but it was clear both were looking for more.

Tammi did not hide her feelings about Malcolm, she did not approve.
She thought Malcolm was seedy and having heard that they had a friendship when Vienna was just a teen did not help his case.
